Air Ducts

,JBB Heating, AC, and Plumbing offers full air duct service. Our professional technicians are trained and skilled in all duct work. From the smallest of jobs, to the more challenging installations and cleanings.

Indoor Air Quality –

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), relates to the air quality inside and surrounding buildings and structures, particularly relating to the health and comfort of the occupants of said buildings.  IAQ control is vital to the overall well-being of your home.  Think of your air duct system as the lungs of your home, taking in air, and breathing it out.  Even if the air duct system is installed properly, maintained and operated properly as well, the system can still become contaminated with particulate matter, such as pollen, pet dander, chemicals and other debris.

These contaminants are pulled into your HVAC unit and circulated back into the home several times a day.  The re-circulation of contaminants causes build-up inside your duct work.  This can contribute to adverse health issues for your family, and reduce the efficiency of your HVAC system.

 Energy Savings –

These contaminants cause your HVAC system to work harder, and reduce its life expectancy.  The filter in your system is the first defense reducing the re-circulation of the contaminants.  Replacing your filter, and keeping your duct work clean, not only reduces the amount of contaminants you breathe in, but the system does not have to work as hard keeping the home at the desired temperature.  This results in lower energy use, which results in cost-effectiveness.

Air Duct Maintenance –

Conditions in every home are different, which makes it impossible for any service company to generalize about whether or not you should have the air ducts in your home cleaned.

It is completely normal for your return registers to have dust on them. However, this may not indicate your ducts are indeed contaminated with heavy debris. The registers can easily be removed, wiped down, and vacuumed. Since there are many parts of your duct system that are not visible from the registers or supplies, a professional should be called to inspect them.

Call JBB Heating, AC, and Plumbing to schedule your air duct inspection, and let our technician professionally determine whether or not a cleaning is indeed necessary for your home.

Dryer Vents

Dryer Vent Maintenance –

The need to clean your dryer vent is dependent on various factors.  Factors such as how much the machine is used, how long it has been used, the number of turns or bends in your vent, the amount of laundry being dried, and other variables.  Make note, that a dirty, unclean vent line can be serious leading to a fire breakout.  Per the manufacturer, your dryer vent should be cleaned at least twice a year.

An indication that your vent line needs to be cleaned, is the increase in time it takes for your clothes to dry.  While cleaning the lint off of the lint trap before or after each use is recommended, it does not prevent the finer particles passing through into the vent line, and accumulating.  By process, a proper and regular cleaning should allow for your dryer to complete a load in up to 45 minutes, even if it is up there in age.

Our professional technicians are well trained in cleaning the entire vent line, removing lint build up to ensure your dryer works at its peak efficiency.  Though it is difficult for any company to generalize whether or not your line needs to be cleaned, our professional technicians can inspect the line first, and determine if a cleaning is indeed necessary.

Call JBB Heating, AC, and Plumbing to schedule your dryer vent inspection, and let our technician professionally determine whether or not a cleaning is indeed necessary for your home.
